The Ontario province has so far issued 1,065 invitations via its French-Speaking Worker Stream
Ontario has issued 44 more invitations through its French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream to candidates of the Express Entry.
The Ontario PNP has been issuing invitation using this stream in almost every week of the year. And, the latest draw takes the total invitation numbers to 1,065 this year. This most recent one was conducted right seven days after the previous one on 6th September 2018, in which 15 invitations were issues.
The stream is for the French-speaking Express Entry candidate with the strong proficiency in the English language (at least CLB 6) desiring to work and live in the province permanently.
Candidates must have the required eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and satisfy the specified criteria of Ontario.
According to the OINP, the candidates issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) in the latest draw submitted their Express Entry Profiles between the 1st January and 13, September 2018. It must be remembered that getting an NOI shouldn’t be taken for being qualified for the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. Any candidate who was issued an NOI is told to check the Stream’s requirements to make sure that they satisfy the provincial and federal criteria.
Those who have interest in the Ontario’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream need to confirm this whether they are eligible for the Express Entry pool or not.
The draw conducted on 9th of August was the first via Ontario’s Human Capital Stream since March
The latest draw through the Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream organized on 9, August 2018 gave 947 invitations to those who applied under the Express Entry with CRS Points as low as 350.
According to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), the CRS score range for this draw was between 350 and 439, and the candidates issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) submitted their Express Entry profile between 1st of January and 9th of August 2018. The Express Entry candidates chosen in the draw must have a job offer in the Ontario province.
By virtue of the Human Capital Priorities Stream, the OINP can look for the promising candidates in the Express Entry pool who can fulfill the stream requirements. Generally, these requirements are that an Express Entry candidate has to get 400 CRS points or more. While the targeted draws like this and the one conducted on 26, March 2018, both of them have waived the requirement for getting 400 points or above in favour of the proficiency in the French language or a job offer.
A job offer is not usually required for a candidate under the Human Capital Priorities Stream. The eight draws conducted through this stream in 2018, and the six ones out of them didn’t have the requirement for a job offer.
Ontario didn’t mention that the offer was in a specific field or occupation. The province has given targeted NOIs to those candidates having work experience in Select Information Communication Technology Occupations.
The candidates of the Express Entry receiving a provincial nomination for the Canada Permanent Residency from Ontario are given 600 more points, which will add more to their CRS score. It is almost a guarantee to get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in any future draw from the Express Entry pool.
The prospective immigrant issued an NOI in the latest draw (held on 9 August) has 45 calendar days to apply for a provincial nomination certificate from the Ontario Province.
French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream Gives Invitations Too
There is another Ontario’s Express Entry-linked Stream called the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream (FSSW) that also issued invitations.
14 invitations were given to Express Entry candidates via the FSSW stream. French-Speaking Express Entry candidates were chosen who were eligible either for the Federal Skilled Worker Class or Canadian Experience Class having proficiency in the English language with CLB 6 or more. The candidates must fulfill some other unique provincial criteria.
The FSSW stream doesn’t need a minimum CRS Points like the Human Capital Priorities Stream. The candidates got an invitation through the FSSW Stream on the 9th of August who submitted their Express Entry profiles from 1st of January to 9th of August 2018. Ontario has conducted 9 FSSW invitation rounds and issued NOIs to 277 Express Entry candidates.
279 NOIs have also been issued by Ontario to Express Entry candidates by means of its Skilled Trades Stream in two draws conducted in this summer season. This stream is for a skilled worker having a valid Express Entry profile and is eligible for the Canadian Experience Class and has sufficient work experience in an eligible skilled trade, among other criteria.
The Ontario province has now given 3,534 NOIs by means of the Human Capital Priorities Stream this year and 931 NOIs via the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream. Apart from these two, Ontario has issued 1,006 NOIs via the Skilled Trades Stream.
If you want to get an NOI through any of the programs mentioned above, you first need to know whether you have the required eligibility to put your profile in the Federal Express Entry pool. The Express Entry system deals with the candidates’ profiles in the Federal Skilled Trades Class, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Worker Class.
