According to Canada government immigration, refugees and citizenship says that the backlog of permanent residence applications which is through old Live-in caregiver program. There is an announcement on December 3rd in which IRCC said that there goals are finalized for permanent residency application. This application is submitted on or before Oct. 1, 2017 by caregivers who are through LCP.
Some relief for new candidates
Government have made new commitments in which it is clear that many of people who are in Live-in caregivers in Canada will soon get the green signal of permanent residence. This announcement is done by immigration minister, Ahmed Hussen in news release. It is the best wishes from his side for the people who will soon get Permanent residence approval in short time.
How to take benefit of direct PR facility?
Under this program people who are present in Canada from last two years and giving their services for caregiver they are given direct benefit of permanent residence. Actually, this program is closed from 2014 and they are given an extended opportunity which candidate can use for permanent residence. However, IRCC declared that more than 6,000 applications for permanent residence under the LCP can still apply or submit for permanent residence. One more benefit given by IRCC that 80% of new comers are also committed from the processing of permanent residence and their application must submitted on 1 October 2017.
